Buying a used guitar can be a great way to save money and get a higher-quality instrument than you might otherwise be able to afford if you were buying new.

What To Look Out For When Shopping For A Used Guitar
There are also a few things you might not have thought of such as what kind of strings the guitar has, whether its a right or left handed guitar, and in the case of a bass - whether you want a 4-string or 5-string model. Also consider how much money you'll want to allocate to accessories and other items such as a guitar case, replacement strings, picks, tuners, and sheet music.

Also, take a look at the photographs provided. Are they clear, bright and do they show all sides of the guitar? Sometimes if someone is not showing you a certain angle, it's because there is a mark or something to hide in that area.
Also, sometimes older guitars can warp or bend as the strings pull on the neck, so be sure to ask about the sound quality of the guitar.
